Become a Likeable Brand.

Let's face it, everybody wants to be liked. Today's brands are about likeability. Marketing solutions need to deliver appeal and put you with the popular crowd, but also bring home the bacon at the end of the day.

It's one thing to be liked, but it's even better to be engaged in conversation. Are your posts being shared?

High engagement can come in many ways. You can use social media to advertise your products, or really communicate something that is helpful. You could push out a really compelling white paper and set up a download to reveal true prospects or set up a YouTube video that demonstrates how to use something or helpful ideas in your industry.

Our world today has launched a social media revolution and if you are not participating, you may be losing out on some great face time.

Take a look at these astounding statistics:

  • There are more than 5.5 billion pieces of content shared each week on Facebook. 22% of the world's population are Facebook users.

  • 70% of bloggers are organically talking about brands on their Facebook blog.

  • At the current rate, Twitter will process almost 20 billion tweets in a single year.

  • The average number of tweets per hour is around 3.3 million.

  • Linkedin has 450 billion users.

  • 45% bloggers spend 10 or more hours each week blogging, according to Technorati. And, this statistic is growing.

Listen. Observe. Participate.

It can be overwhelming to decide which blog platform, social networks and blog communities are best for you. It's more than simply Facebook, Instagram and Twitter (and well, countless other platforms). Lack of understanding, minimal resources...and time...are the largest obstacles for starting and managing a weekly social media campaign for a small business, especially when you are just launching a new business and may be JUST YOU. The process of listening and observing in social media conversations will reveal the cultures of the specific communities you may wish to engage and help you understand the basics.

Your branding and marketing must deliver value and respond to your customers. Whether you are an entrepreneur, corporate, non-profit, retail or consultant company, social media gives you a voice to speak and be heard.

It's time to join the conversation.
